At AirForestry, we’re doing something pretty amazing - taking forestry above the treetops! With our lightweight, high-capacity electric drones, we’re transforming how forests are managed. As we grow, we’re now taking the next step: building a professional procurement function. The role:

We’re looking for our very first procurement hire - someone who can take the wheel and build the function from scratch. This is a role that blends hands-on work with strategic thinking, so you’ll get to dive into everything from receiving deliveries to creating processes that take us from purchase order to fully assembled systems.

You’ll be a key player in helping us level up, and your work will shape how we collaborate with suppliers and make procurement a real driver for our growth. You’ll have an eye for the long-term, while knowing what needs to happen right now, and can make smart decisions that balance both.

What you’ll do:

• Build our procurement function from the ground up - both operationally and strategically.
• Work closely with tech leads and finance to align requirements and shape the function together.
• Run day-to-day procurement operations smoothly.
• Set up templates, routines, and processes that follow best practices.
• Make smart prioritization decisions: what’s good enough now vs what’s a long term strategic move.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts with existing and potential new partners.

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience from a similar role in a hardware-focused growth company.
• Experience either owning a procurement function or being a key contributor to building one.
• Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and driving processes, while also collaborating across teams.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and excited by the challenge of building something new.
